Only connect an Instagram account you own or legally control. Connecting an account you do not have authority to automate violates both Setor AI’s Terms of Service and Instagram’s Platform Policy.

What About Shadow-Bans?

Instagram restrictions are a real concern for anyone using automation. The key distinction is how a tool connects to your account. Tools that require your Instagram password — or simulate a browser session as if they were you — carry the highest risk. They log into your account from unfamiliar servers, which triggers Instagram’s anomaly detection and puts your account at risk regardless of what the tool actually does. Setor AI connects only through the official Meta API. You never type your password into Setor AI. The authorization is an OAuth flow that Meta itself controls. This is the lowest-risk approach available for Instagram automation. The tool’s behavior also matters. Setor AI only responds to people who have already messaged you or followed you — it does not send unsolicited cold DMs to strangers. Rate Limits

Instagram imposes messaging rate limits on all apps connected through its API. These limits exist to prevent spam and protect the platform’s user experience. Setor AI manages your message volume automatically, keeping it within Meta’s allowed thresholds. For most accounts, these limits are never reached in normal operation. If your account’s DM volume is growing rapidly — for example, after a large campaign or a viral post — your success manager will proactively advise you on the appropriate approach before any threshold becomes a concern. You will not hit a wall without warning.
