# Setor AI Partner Program: Frequently Asked Questions

  <Accordion title="Do I need to be a Setor AI client to join?">
    No — but being a client helps because you can show the product instead of describing it. Anyone can apply at [partners.setor.ai](https://partners.setor.ai/auth/sign-up). There is no requirement to use Setor AI yourself.

  <Accordion title="Is the commission paid for life?">
    No. Commission runs for 12 months from the referred client's first payment, then stops. After that, the client continues to count toward your tier and your rewards milestones — but the monthly commission payment ends.

  <Accordion title="How is my commission rate decided?">
    By the number of active referred clients you have at the exact moment a new client signs up. That rate is then locked to that client permanently — it never drops, even if your tier changes later.

    Rates are not retroactive. A client who signed up while you were at Starter stays at 10% even after you reach Legend. Every new client you refer from the moment you hit Legend locks in at 35%.

  <Accordion title="What counts as a referral?">
    A sign-up through your tracked referral link, or a direct introduction to Setor AI that you notify us about before the conversation starts. If you make a direct introduction without telling us first, we cannot guarantee the attribution — so always notify us in advance.

  <Accordion title="When exactly do I get paid?">
    30 days after the referred client's payment clears. That delay covers the refund window. You can track every referral, every payment, and every commission in your partner dashboard — nothing about your payout should be a surprise.

  <Accordion title="What happens if my referred client cancels?">
    Commission stops when their payments stop. If a payment fails (rather than a voluntary cancellation), the referral stays alive for a 45-day grace period — giving the client time to resolve the payment before the referral closes. There is no grace period for clients who cancel voluntarily.

  <Accordion title="Can I run paid ads to my referral link?">
    Yes, with one exception: you cannot bid on the Setor AI brand name — or close variants of it — in paid search. That traffic was already ours. All other paid advertising to your referral link is permitted.

  <Accordion title="Can I refer myself or my own company?">
    No. Self-referrals are not paid. This applies to any account or entity you own or control.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is there exclusivity?">
    No. You can promote competing products at the same time. There is no requirement to work exclusively with Setor AI.

  <Accordion title="Can I refer another partner and earn on their referrals?">
    Yes. Refer another partner through your tracked link (or via a direct introduction you notify us about), and you earn 5% on the revenue from the clients they bring in. This second-tier commission runs for the same 12-month window that applies to each of their referred clients.
